How Can Therapy Change Your Life?

Therapy has the potential to significantly change your life. It can provide you with the tools, insights, and support you need to address challenges, improve your mental and emotional well-being, enhance your relationships, and achieve personal growth.

Therapy is a valuable resource that can empower you to lead a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. Here are just a few of the benefits associated with attending therapy sessions:

How I can Help

As a registered therapist, my primary goal is to provide you with the support and guidance you need to address your concerns, achieve your goals, and enhance your overall well-being. Here’s how I can assist you:

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

I can provide strategies to manage ADHD symptoms, improve focus, and enhance daily functioning, besides doing inner work and trauma therapy for other co-occurring scenarios related to ADHD including impulsiveness, interpersonal issues, imposter syndrome, etc.

Hypersensitivity

Together, we’ll work on reducing anxiety levels, understanding triggers, and developing coping techniques to regain control over your life, and most importantly we will work on fostering a healthy sense of self and resilience in facing the inevitable hardships in your journey. Following covering the basics of coping and recovery, we will work on using this distinctive innate feature towards adhering to your personal values and contributing to something bigger than yourself, including creative, spiritual, and altruistic causes that you care about.

Artists’ Issues

Many artists struggle with issues that are similar to those that people with ADHD and/or high sensitivity face, including emotional and interpersonal struggles, productivity challenges, imposter syndrome, self-esteem issues, etc. Like working with the other two presentations, I will help you develop the resilience and tools to thrive in a competitive and challenging journey. I will also be by your side and teach you how to understand yourself, your creative processes, your distinctive abilities, and ultimately what you can provide to the universe that is distinctively yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

In this section, I aim to provide clarity and address some of the common queries you may have on your mind. Your well-being is my priority, and I want you to feel informed and confident as you embark on your therapeutic journey.

How do you decide which therapy approach is right for me?

Choosing the right therapy approach is a collaborative process. We start with an assessment, discuss your preferences, and draw on my expertise. We remain flexible, regularly assess progress, and make decisions together to ensure your comfort and well-being.

How can I prepare for a therapy session?

Preparing for a therapy session involves taking a moment to reflect on your goals and what you'd like to discuss, noting down any questions or concerns, and being open and honest about your thoughts and feelings since the last session.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

In therapy, what you share is typically kept confidential. However, there are exceptions for safety concerns or legal requirements, which I will explain to you. Your privacy and well-being are priorities in therapy.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?

The frequency of therapy sessions varies based on your needs and goals. Initially, I will assess and recommend a suitable session schedule. It may range from weekly for immediate support in crises to less frequent sessions as you make progress.

How long is a typical therapy session?

Sessions with me typically span 50 minutes, in order to allow the conversation to gain depth and momentum. However, if you think you need longer sessions due to different reasons, I am also open to sessions spanning 80 minutes.

Can I combine in-person and online therapy sessions?

Yes, combining in-person and online therapy sessions is a viable option and is often referred to as "blended therapy" or "hybrid therapy." It allows for flexibility in your treatment and can be particularly beneficial when facing scheduling challenges or needing to adapt to changing circumstances.
